Principal's Message

Welcome to Avonmore! We are a learning community that reflects our slogan, "All Learners/All Teachers/Together.  Our skilled staff provides high quality learning environments across all our programs.   Throughout the year, students are involved in cross grade activities such as  our annual Heritage Night of food, entertainment and fun and  June Fun Day.

We are committed to fostering growth and success for every student as they work towards becoming engaged, ethical students with an entrepreneurial spirit. Through our partnership with the Family Centre, we are fortunate to have a mental health therapist at the school to support students and families.  Our inclusive learning team provides in school assessments and curricular supports for students that need the extra support.

We offer the Nellie L. McClung all girls Junior High (Grades 7-9) alternative program.  We also offer special needs programming in all our classes and in our Community Living Skills and Behaviour Learning Assistance classes. The regular elementary also serves the students living in the Avonmore community. Additional information about these programs is available under the Programs tab of this website.

We look forward to working together with our parents and community in the 2018-2019 school year.

Please contact our school if you require additional information.
